Sergio Gonzales is the Vice President of Operations for Matrix Petroleum in Houston overseeing drilling, completions, and production in the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk plays. Prior to his current role, Sergio served as a Senior Production Engineer at ConocoPhillips, responsible forestablishing and implementing standard practices for beam pumping units in the Permian Basin.Sergio holds a Ph.D. candidacy in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, focusing on production engineering. He also earned a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, specializing in thermal fluid sciences.He is an expert in all artificial lift types, production software, well design and optimization. Sergio is the onboarding specialist and advisor to new incoming customers to maximize the AWT product experience.
